Lithomancy (石占術)
Lithomancy is divination through the casting of sacred stones. The traditional set uses 13 stones: 7 planetary, 4 elemental, and 2 core stones. Each stone carries specific energies and meanings based on its associated celestial body or element.
Stone Categories
- Planetary Stones (行星石): Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn — correspond to the Navagraha
- Elemental Stones (元素石): Fire, Water, Air, Earth — parallel to Pancha Bhoota and Wu Xing
- Core Stones (核心石): Life (Fortune) and Magic (Spirit) — the reading's anchors
Casting Method
Stones are cast onto a cloth or designated area. Their positions relative to each other reveal relationships, influences, and timing. Proximity indicates connection; distance indicates separation or independence.
