Zi Wei Dou Shu — Purple Star Astrology
Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗數), "Purple Star Astrology," arranges 108 stars across 12 palaces (十二宮) anchored by the Purple Star (紫微星). The Ming Palace (命宮) indicates the core character and life path; the remaining eleven palaces govern specific life domains — wealth (財帛), career (官祿), family (父母), and more.
In the Liuren Fajiao context, the ZWDS chart is used alongside BaZi for deeper ritual diagnosis, particularly when assessing the quality of Qi in different life periods prior to major ceremonies.
