1. The Diagnostic Hand (觀音診斷掌)

In Liuren Fajiao, the Guanyin Palm (觀音掌 — Guān Yīn Zhǎng) is the primary diagnostic hand seal. While the Five Thunder Palm (Section 61) projects force outward and the Iron Palm reinforces, the Guanyin Palm is used to Sense, Detect, and Diagnose spiritual conditions — it receives rather than projects. It embodies the compassionate overwatch of Guanyin Bodhisattva within the lineage's practice framework.

Unlike the Moon Blocks or incense reading — which consult external instruments — the Guanyin Palm is an internal diagnostic tool that bypasses external media entirely, providing direct bodily sensation as diagnostic information.

2. Five Sha Signatures Detectable by the Palm (五種煞感)

Sha TypeChinesePalm SensationDiagnostic MeaningVerification Method
Ghost/Yin Entity Sha鬼氣煞Sudden, sharp cold sensation in the palm — often localized to the center (Laogong point)Presence of a Yin entity in the vicinityConfirm with incense (Ghost Incense pattern) and Moon Blocks inquiry
Hostile Entity Sha惡靈煞Burning or prickling heat in the palm, often accompanied by a pushing sensationA hostile or aggressive entity actively resisting detectionConfirm with diagnostic protocol; escalate to Sanshanjiao or Wuleijiao protocols if hostility is confirmed
Pathogenic Sha (in body)病氣煞Dull, heavy, "sticky" sensation in the palm when scanning over a sick person's bodyAccumulated disease Sha lodged in specific meridians or organsMap the sensation across the body by scanning different areas
Benign Ancestor Presence祖靈臨Gentle warmth expanding across the entire palm; may be accompanied by a subtle pleasant fragrance perceptionA benign ancestral spirit or lineage guardian is presentThe sensation confirms that the ceremony or petition has been received positively
Void Zone (energetic absence)空洞感An unusual absence of sensation — the palm feels as though it's in a "null zone"A severely depleted organ system or a significant "dead zone" in the energy bodyConfirm with Moon Block inquiry about specific organ function; refer for medical examination

3. The Three Primary Applications (三種主要應用)

ApplicationMethod of UseMetaphysical ActionPractitioner ResultCultivation Level Required
Medical Diagnosis (Shen Cha)Palm held 5–15cm above the patient's body; slowly scanned from crown to feetThe practitioner's left palm becomes a receiver tuned to the patient's energy field frequencyIdentifying the spiritual root of physical pain, chronic illness, or unexplained symptomsDajiao cultivation (Internal Stillness prerequisite); Zhongjiao initiation minimum
Space AuditPalm extended toward walls, corners, furniture, and specific rooms of a propertyThe palm detects spatial Sha accumulations, entity anchor points, and Void Zones in the property's energy fieldIdentifying "Dead Zones" or entity anchor points in a building before Sanshanjiao nettingSanshanjiao+ for full space audit accuracy
Client VettingPalm turned discreetly toward the incoming client during the initial consultation meetingThe palm detects the "Intent-Qi" of the visitorProviding preliminary information about the client's spiritual state before the formal Moon Block inquiryStage 2 Shen Gong cultivation (Dajiao level)

4. The Internal Stillness Prerequisite (靜心前提)

The Guanyin Palm is an act of Spiritual Detection — its accuracy depends entirely on the quality of the practitioner's internal state. To "Activate" the Guanyin Palm, the practitioner must first achieve a state of Internal Stillness (靜心 — Jìng Xīn), developed through sustained Dajiao cultivation. If the mind is cluttered with personal desires, worries, or fear, the palm cannot access the subtle Sha frequencies.
