醫術
Chinese medicine, healing arts, and energetic restoration of the body.
Overview
概述
Medicine Art (醫術, Yi Shu) is the healing pillar of the Five Arts. It encompasses Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture and meridian theory, herbal formulation, pulse diagnosis, and energetic medicine. Within the Liuren Fajiao context, Yi is applied not only to physical health but to the energetic conditions that affect ritual practice and spiritual cultivation.
Key Concepts
Medicine Art is grounded in the theory of Yin-Yang (陰陽), Five Elements (五行), and the meridian system (經絡). Qi flows through twelve primary meridians; disruption to this flow manifests as illness. Diagnosis encompasses observation (望), listening (聞), inquiry (問), and palpation (切) — the Four Examinations. Treatment modalities include acupuncture (針灸), moxibustion (艾灸), herbal medicine (中藥), and Tui Na (推拿).
Energetic Dimensions
Beyond physical medicine, Yi Shu recognises the interplay between environmental Qi (as studied in Feng Shui), astrological influences (as mapped in BaZi and ZWDS), and bodily health. A practitioner within the Liuren Fajiao lineage may employ Fa Water or ritual techniques as an adjunct to support energetic restoration — these are not substitutes for medical treatment but complementary ritual supports.
The 13 Departments of Zhu You (祝由十三科)
Formalized during the Tang Dynasty and later codified in the Imperial Medical Academy, Zhu You ("Art of Explaining the Cause") is the ritual-medical specialty of the Five Arts. It addresses illness through the combination of medical understanding and ritual incantation. The 13 Departments include internal medicine (Da Fang Mai), neurology (Zhu Feng), pediatrics (Xiao Er), and specialized ritual healing (Shu Jin). Within the Liuren Fajiao Yikelei degree, these departments form the framework for understanding how spiritual and energetic causes manifest as physical symptoms.
