Five Arts — 五術
Physiognomy (Xiang)
相術
Feng Shui, Mian Xiang, and the assessment of environmental and bodily form.
Overview
概述
Physiognomy Art (相術, Xiang Shu) is the art of reading form — both the form of the environment (Feng Shui) and the form of the human body (Mian Xiang, palm reading). Feng Shui (風水) assesses the configuration of Qi in the landscape and built environment to optimise conditions for health, wealth, and harmonious living. Mian Xiang (面相, face reading) reads the energetic imprint of destiny on the features of the face.
Feng Shui Fundamentals
Feng Shui operates through several classical schools: San He (三合), San Yuan (三元), Xuan Kong Flying Stars (玄空飛星), and Ba Zhai (八宅), among others. The Luopan (羅盤) compass — with its 24 Mountains (二十四山), trigram rings, and star charts — is the core instrument of the Feng Shui practitioner. The Liuren Fajiao platform provides a digital Luopan alongside XuanKong, BaZhai, Da Xuan Kong, and Fu Xing Shui Fa builders.
Mian Xiang — Face Reading
面相
Mian Xiang maps destiny through the features of the face. The forehead relates to early life and Heaven luck; the middle face (nose and cheeks) to middle life and Human luck; the lower face (mouth and chin) to later life and Earth luck. Twelve palaces of the face correspond to major life domains, and the energetic quality of each area reflects the interplay of Heaven, Earth, and Human luck in the individual's destiny.
