Divine Eye Medicine
天眼神藥 · Cakṣus-siddhi
Common Siddhi 普通神通The Eye Medicine siddhi involves the discovery or preparation of a special alchemical eye ointment that, when applied to the eyes, grants clairvoyance—the ability to see through walls, perceive hidden objects, see spirits and subtle beings, and perceive events at great distances. The ointment is often described as prepared from rare Himalayan herbs combined with mantras and ritual empowerment. This siddhi represents the awakening of the subtle vision that perceives reality beyond ordinary sense limitations. In the classical accounts, practitioners who received this siddhi could see into the future, perceive the mental states of others, and witness events in other realms.

⚖ Ethical Note
Clairvoyance obtained as a siddhi is described in the classical sources as unreliable if pursued as an end in itself—it comes and goes depending on the practitioner's state of mind. The Buddhist view is that true 'clear seeing' is the wisdom that perceives the nature of mind directly, of which clairvoyant sight is only a pale reflection.
