The Six Ritual Categories (六大儀式類別)
Liuren Fajiao ritual work is organized into six primary categories, each with distinct methodologies, spirit invocations, ritual implements, and timing considerations. Understanding these categories allows the practitioner to select the appropriate ritual approach for any situation.
1. Protection Ritual (庇護法)
The most commonly performed ritual category. Invokes the Six Jia and Six Ding spirits for protective coverage. Uses protective Fu (護身符), the ritual sword (法劍), and Fa Water. Timing: Yang hours; coordinated with Ze Ri calendar. Applied to persons, homes, vehicles, businesses, and children.
2. Summoning Ritual (召請法)
Formal invocation of divine powers, ancestral spirits, or contracted spiritual allies into ritual space for communication, instruction, or empowerment. Requires the highest level of ritual purity and preparation. Not to be attempted without proper lineage authorization and preparation.
3. Healing Ritual (療癒法)
TCM-integrated ritual diagnosis and treatment: identifying the spiritual root of illness, performing appropriate Fu and Zhou work, administering Fa Water, and conducting post-healing protective sealing. Often combines Chinese Medicine constitutional analysis (through BaZi or pulse diagnosis) with ritual intervention targeting the spiritual dimension of the condition.
4. Exorcism Ritual (驅鬼法)
Identification and removal of malevolent spiritual influences from persons, places, or objects. Requires careful spiritual diagnosis (ghost type? deity? nature spirit? attached energy?) before selecting the appropriate binding or banishment method. Post-exorcism sealing of the location is mandatory to prevent re-entry.
5. Blessing Ritual (賜福法)
Actively drawing auspicious Qi into a person's life, home, or business. Most effective when coordinated with Feng Shui assessment — Fa blessings work within the spatial Qi framework rather than against it. Timing coordination with BaZi favorable years and Ze Ri auspicious dates amplifies effectiveness.
6. Cosmic Alignment Ritual (調和法)
Aligning practitioner, client, or environment with current cosmic Qi patterns. Particularly relevant during significant transitions: year-change ceremonies, life-stage transitions, marriage preparation, relocation. Integrates BaZi constitutional analysis with ritual timing for comprehensive cosmic alignment.
