概述

Destiny Art (命術, Ming Shu) encompasses the classical Chinese astrology systems that map a person's potential, timing, and life trajectory from birth data. The two principal systems are BaZi (八字, Four Pillars of Destiny) and Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗數, Purple Star Astrology). Within the Liuren Fajiao lineage, these systems are treated as diagnostic tools — not fortune-telling — providing insight that supports ritual and cultivation practice.

命術以出生資料為基礎，涵蓋映照個人潛能、時機與命運軌跡的古典星命體系。兩大主幹為八字（四柱）與紫微斗數。在六壬法教傳承中，此類體系為診斷工具——非命理占卜——為儀式與修行提供洞察依據。

BaZi derives a chart from the year, month, day, and hour of birth — each represented as a Heavenly Stem (天干) and Earthly Branch (地支) pair, yielding eight characters (八字). Analysis covers the Day Master (日主), Ten Gods (十神), Shen Sha (神煞 — special stars), and the sequencing of ten-year Luck Pillars (大運). ZWDS constructs a twelve-palace chart from the birth date and time. The Purple Star (紫微星) anchors the chart; over 100 major and minor stars are distributed across palaces including the Ming Palace (命宮, Life Palace), Wealth Palace (財帛宮), Career Palace (官祿宮), and others. The interplay of stars and palaces reveals the texture of destiny across all life domains.
