Wai Kru & Lineage Protocols

拜師與法脈禮儀

The Vertical Connection

In both Liuren Fajiao and Thai Wicha, power does not belong to the individual; it is borrowed from the lineage. Wai Kru (拜師) is the formal acknowledgment of this debt. Without the 'Kru' (Teacher/Master), the Kata are merely sounds and the talismans are merely ink.

Core Ritual Components

  1. Offerings (Phan): Preparation of a ritual tray containing incense, candles, and specific flowers (e.g., Ixora for sharp wit, Eggplant flower for humility).
  2. Invocation: Reciting the Zong Jue or Namotassa to invite the spirits of the 108 Ruesi and lineage ancestors.
  3. Khuen Kru: The formal acceptance of the student by the teacher, often involving a small ritual fee that anchors the commitment.
  4. Pao (The Sacred Breath): The Master 'blows' the lineage power into the student's crown, heart, or specific amulets to activate them.

Maintaining the Link

Lineage power is maintained through daily practice and ethical conduct. To violate the precepts (e.g., insulting elders or misusing the Fa for harm) is to 'break the link' (Kru Leud), causing the magic to become inert or even harmful to the practitioner.
