卦辭
姤:女壯,勿用取女。
Coming to Meet. The maiden is powerful. One should not marry such a maiden.

象曰:天下有風,姤;后以施命誥四方。
Under heaven, wind: the image of Coming to Meet. Thus does the prince act when disseminating his commands and proclaiming them to the four quarters of heaven.
Interpretation
詮釋
姤卦象徵不期而遇。天下有風,陰始生。一陰遇五陽,需警惕陰長陽消。
Coming to meet unexpectedly. Wind under heaven, yin begins to grow. One yin meets five yang, must be vigilant of yin growing and yang declining.

初六
繫於金柅,貞吉,有攸往,見凶,羸豕孚蹢躅。
It must be checked with a brake of bronze. Perseverance brings good fortune. If one lets it take its course, one experiences misfortune. Even a lean pig has it in him to rage around.
繫於銅製車閘,守正吉,放任前往則見凶,瘦豬也會亂跳。初陰萌生,必須遏制。
Tied with bronze brake, correctness brings fortune, letting it go brings misfortune, lean pig also rages. Initial yin sprouts, must be restrained.

九二
包有魚,無咎,不利賓。
There is a fish in the tank. No blame. Does not further guests.
廚房有魚,無咎,不利賓客。掌控局面,自用尚可,不宜外傳。
Fish in kitchen, no blame, disadvantages guests. Controlling situation, self-use acceptable, should not spread outside.
Nine in the third place
九三
臀無膚,其行次且,厲,無大咎。
There is no skin on his thighs, and walking comes hard. If one is mindful of the danger, no great mistake is made.
臀部無皮,行走艱難,危險,但無大咎。進退為難,知危則可免大過。
No skin on buttocks, walking difficult, dangerous, but no great blame. Difficult to advance or retreat, knowing danger can avoid great error.

九四
包無魚,起凶。
No fish in the tank. This leads to misfortune.
廚房無魚,引起凶險。失去掌控,小人得勢,必生禍端。
No fish in kitchen, brings misfortune. Losing control, petty people gain power, disaster inevitably arises.

九五
以杞包瓜,含章,有隕自天。
A melon covered with willow leaves. Hidden lines. It drops down to one from heaven.
用杞柳包瓜,含蓄美好,有從天而降之福。居尊位有德,天降福祉。
Wrapping melon with willow, subtle beauty, fortune drops from heaven. In high position with virtue, heaven bestows blessings.

上九
姤其角,吝,無咎。
He comes to meet with his horns. Humiliation. No blame.
相遇於角端,艱難,無咎。高傲孤立,雖艱難但因不與小人同流而無過。
Meeting at the horns, difficult, no blame. Proud and isolated, though difficult but no fault for not going along with petty people.
