卦辭
大畜：利貞，不家食吉，利涉大川。
The Taming Power of the Great. Perseverance furthers. Not eating at home brings good fortune. It furthers one to cross the great water.

象曰：天在山中，大畜；君子以多識前言往行，以畜其德。
Heaven within the mountain: the image of the Taming Power of the Great. Thus the superior man learns many sayings of antiquity and many deeds of the past, in order to strengthen his character.
Interpretation
詮釋
大畜卦象徵大力積蓄。天在山中，蓄藏巨大能量。暗示著積累知識與德行，待時而發。
Great accumulation. Heaven within mountain, storing tremendous energy. Suggests accumulating knowledge and virtue, waiting for the right time to act.

Nine at the beginning
初九
有厲利己。
Danger is at hand. It furthers one to desist.
有危險宜停止。遇阻而止，積蓄力量，不可冒進。
Danger present, advisable to stop. Halting when blocked, accumulating strength, must not advance rashly.
Nine in the second place
九二
輿說輹。
The axletrees are taken from the wagon.
車輪被卸下。被制止而不得前進，繼續積蓄。
Wagon wheels removed. Prevented from advancing, continue accumulating.
Nine in the third place
九三
良馬逐，利艱貞。曰閑輿衛，利有攸往。
A good horse that follows others. Awareness of danger, with perseverance, furthers. Practice chariot driving and armed defense daily. It furthers one to have somewhere to go.
良馬追逐，宜知艱而守正。勤練車術護衛，利於前往。準備充分可行動。
Good horses chasing, knowing difficulty and maintaining correctness furthers. Practicing chariot and defense skills, favorable to go. With full preparation, can act.
Six in the fourth place
六四
童牛之牿，元吉。
The headboard of a young bull. Great good fortune.
幼牛戴軛，大吉。及早教化約束，預防勝於治療。
Young bull in yoke, great fortune. Early education and restraint, prevention better than cure.
Six in the fifth place
六五
豶豕之牙，吉。
The tusk of a gelded boar. Good fortune.
閹豬之牙，吉。去其剛猛之性，馴化而保存力量。
Gelded boar's tusk, fortune. Removing fierce nature, taming while preserving strength.
Nine at the top
上九
何天之衢，亨。
One attains the way of heaven. Success.
得天之大道，亨通。積蓄至極，通達天道，大展宏圖。
Attaining heaven's great way, success. Accumulation reaches peak, accessing heavenly way, great achievements unfold.
