Geomancy — The Art of Earth Divination (16 Figures)
Geomancy (Ilm al-Raml, literally “science of the sand”) is one of the most widespread divination systems in history, practiced across medieval Europe, the Islamic world, and Africa. It uses 16 figures — each a pattern of single or double dots in four rows.
Four “Mother” figures are generated randomly, then mathematically combined to produce Daughters, Nieces, Witnesses, a Judge, and the Reconciler — forming the Shield Chart. This mirrors the trigram-to-hexagram derivation in the I Ching.
地占術（阿拉伯語Ilm al-Raml，字面意為「沙之學」）是歷史上最廣泛傳播的 占卜體系之一，在中世紀歐洲、伊斯蘭世界和非洲均有實踐。它使用16個圖形—— 每個圖形由四行單點或雙點組成。
