Yang Yunsong served as an official in the Imperial Astronomy Bureau (司天監) during the late Tang Dynasty. When the dynasty collapsed, he fled south to Jiangxi Province carrying imperial Feng Shui texts. He settled in the Sanliao Village (三僚村) of Ganzhou, where he taught three principal disciples: Zeng Wenchang (曾文辿), Liu Jiangdong (劉江東), and Liao Jinjing (廖金精).
楊筠松於晚唐時任司天監,唐末避亂南遷至江西贛州三僚村,攜帶宮廷風水典籍。 他在此傳授三大弟子:曾文辿、劉江東、廖金精。
His contributions include the Han Long Jing (撼龍經 — Classic of Shaking the Dragon), Yi Long Jing (疑龍經 — Classic of Suspecting the Dragon), and the Qing Nang Ao Yu (青囊奧語 — Profound Words of the Green Satchel). Together, these texts established the foundation for both the Form School (形勢派) and Compass School (理氣派).
