家人：利女貞。
The Family. The perseverance of the woman furthers.

象傳
象曰：風自火出，家人；君子以言有物而行有恆。
Wind comes forth from fire: the image of the Family. Thus the superior man has substance in his words and duration in his way of life.
Interpretation
詮釋
家人卦象徵家庭和睦。風火相濟，內外和諧。強調家庭秩序與女性的重要作用。
The Family represents domestic harmony. Wind and fire complement each other, inner and outer harmony. Emphasizes family order and the important role of women.

Nine at the beginning
初九
閑有家，悔亡。
Firm seclusion within the family. Remorse disappears.
防範有度於家中，悔恨消失。一開始建立規矩，防患未然。
Proper boundaries within the family, regret vanishes. Establishing rules from the start, preventing problems.
Six in the second place
六二
無攸遂，在中饋，貞吉。
She should not follow her whims. She must attend within to the food. Perseverance brings good fortune.
不可隨意妄為，專於家務內饋，守正則吉。得中正之位，盡職於內。
Must not act willfully, focus on domestic duties and meals, correctness brings fortune. In balanced position, dutiful within.
Nine in the third place
九三
家人嗃嗃，悔厲吉；婦子嘻嘻，終吝。
When tempers flare up in the family, remorse at the strictness brings good fortune. When woman and child dally and laugh, it leads to humiliation.
家人嚴厲，雖悔但危而終吉；婦孺嘻笑，終致羞辱。治家寧嚴勿寬。
Family strictness, though regretful but dangerous leads to fortune; women and children laughing leads to humiliation. Better strict than lenient in managing family.

六四
富家，大吉。
She is the treasure of the house. Great good fortune.
使家富足，大吉。能持家有道，家庭興旺。
Enriching the family, great fortune. Skilled in household management, family prospers.
Nine in the fifth place
九五
王假有家，勿恤，吉。
As a king approaches his family, so should you. Do not be afraid. Good fortune.
王者降臨於家，勿憂慮，吉。以德治家，自然感化，無需擔憂。
King's presence in family, no worry, fortune. Ruling family with virtue, naturally influences, no need to worry.
Nine at the top
上九
有孚威如，終吉。
His work commands respect. In the end good fortune comes.
有誠信威嚴，終獲吉祥。以身作則，威信並重，最終必吉。
Having sincerity and authority, finally gains fortune. Leading by example, balancing authority and trust, ultimately brings fortune.
