Judgment
卦辭
解:利西南,無所往,其來復吉。有攸往,夙吉。
Deliverance. The southwest furthers. If there is no longer anything where one has to go, return brings good fortune. If there is still something where one has to go, hastening brings good fortune.

象傳
象曰:雷雨作,解;君子以赦過宥罪。
Thunder and rain set in: the image of Deliverance. Thus the superior man pardons mistakes and forgives misdeeds.
Interpretation
詮釋
解卦象徵解脫與釋放。雷雨並作,困難解除。宜寬恕赦免,化解矛盾。
Deliverance and liberation. Thunder and rain together, difficulties resolved. Should forgive and pardon, resolve conflicts.

Six at the beginning
初六
無咎。
No blame.
無咎。困難剛解,靜待時機,無過失。
No blame. Difficulty just resolved, wait quietly for opportunity, no fault.
Nine in the second place
九二
田獲三狐,得黃矢,貞吉。
One kills three foxes in the field and receives a yellow arrow. Perseverance brings good fortune.
打獵獲三狐,得黃金之矢,守正吉祥。除小人,得中正,獲吉。
Hunting catches three foxes, obtains golden arrow, correctness brings fortune. Removing petty people, achieving balance, gains fortune.
Six in the third place
六三
負且乘,致寇至,貞吝。
If a man carries a burden on his back and nonetheless rides in a carriage, he thereby encourages robbers to draw near. Perseverance leads to humiliation.
背負重物卻乘車,招致盜賊,守之可恥。身份不符,德不配位,必招禍。
Carrying burden yet riding cart, invites robbers, persistence brings shame. Status inappropriate, virtue doesn't match position, inevitably brings disaster.
Nine in the fourth place
九四
解而拇,朋至斯孚。
Deliver yourself from your great toe. Then the companion comes, and him you can trust.
解脫你的大拇趾,朋友到來可信賴。擺脫小人糾纏,志同道合者自來。
Free yourself from your big toe, friends arrive trustworthy. Rid of petty people's entanglement, like-minded ones naturally come.
Six in the fifth place
六五
君子維有解,吉;有孚於小人。
If only the superior man can deliver himself, it brings good fortune. Thus he proves to inferior men that he is in earnest.
君子才能真正解脫,吉;使小人信服。以德服人,威信並立。
Only the noble can truly liberate, fortune; making petty people convinced. Winning people with virtue, authority and trust established.
Six at the top
上六
公用射隼於高墉之上,獲之,無不利。
The prince shoots at a hawk on a high wall. He kills it. Everything serves to further.
公侯在高牆上射鷹,射中,無不利。除惡務盡,萬事皆利。
Duke shoots hawk on high wall, hits it, nothing fails to further. Eliminating evil thoroughly, all matters benefit.
