卦辭
同人：同人於野，亨。利涉大川，利君子貞。
Fellowship with Men in the open. Success. It furthers one to cross the great water. The perseverance of the superior man furthers.

象曰：天與火，同人；君子以類族辨物。
Heaven together with fire: the image of Fellowship with Men. Thus the superior man organizes the clans and makes distinctions between things.
Interpretation
詮釋
同人卦象徵志同道合與大同。火在天下，照亮一切。暗示著應與他人廣泛合作，求大同存小異。
Universal brotherhood and cooperation. Fire under heaven. Suggests collaborating with others for common goals and high ideals.

Nine at the beginning
初九
同人于門，無咎。
Fellowship with men at the gate. No blame.
在門前與人相聚，無咎。開放胸懷接納眾人。
Meeting people at the gate, no blame. Open-minded acceptance of all.
Six in the second place
六二
同人于宗，吝。
Fellowship with men in the clan. Humiliation.
只與宗族之人結交，狹隘。結黨營私可鄙。
Only associating with one's own clan, narrow-minded. Forming cliques is shameful.
Nine in the third place
九三
伏戎于莽，升其高陵，三歲不興。
He hides weapons in the thicket, climbs the high hill in front of it. For three years he does not rise up.
於草叢埋伏武器，登高察看，三年不敢行動。疑懼猜忌無法合作。
Hiding weapons in bushes, climbing hills to observe, not daring to act for three years. Suspicion and doubt prevent cooperation.
Nine in the fourth place
九四
乘其墉，弗克攻，吉。
He climbs up on his wall; he cannot attack. Good fortune.
登上城牆卻不能攻，吉。放棄對立回歸和平。
Climbing the wall but unable to attack brings fortune. Abandoning confrontation returns to peace.
Nine in the fifth place
九五
同人，先號咷而後笑，大師克，相遇。
Fellowship with men. First one weeps and laments, but afterward one laughs. After great struggles they succeed in meeting.
志同道合者先哭後笑，經大戰終能相會。艱難後成功團聚。
Like-minded people first weep then laugh, after great battles finally meet. Successful reunion after hardship.

上九
同人于郊，無悔。
Fellowship with men in the meadow. No remorse.
在郊外與人相聚，無悔。雖未達完美但心安。
Meeting people in the outskirts, no regret. Though not perfect, peace of mind.
