乾:元,亨,利,貞。
The Creative works sublime success, furthering through perseverance.

象傳
象曰:天行健,君子以自強不息。
The movement of heaven is full of power. Thus the superior man makes himself strong and untiring.
Interpretation
詮釋
乾卦代表純陽與剛健。象徵天,元始、亨通、有利、貞固。暗示著極大的創造力與領導力。
The Creative represents pure Yang and strength. It symbolizes Heaven, indicating supreme success and perseverance. It suggests great creativity and leadership.

Nine at the beginning
初九
潛龍勿用。
Hidden dragon. Do not act.
龍潛伏在深處,時機未到,不宜行動。應韜光養晦,積蓄力量。
The dragon is hidden in the depths. The time has not yet come. Cultivate yourself and wait for the right opportunity.
Nine in the second place
九二
見龍在田,利見大人。
Dragon appearing in the field. It furthers one to see the great man.
龍已出現,但仍在地面。時機漸好,宜尋求明師指引。
The dragon emerges but remains grounded. Conditions are improving. Seek guidance from a wise mentor.
Nine in the third place
九三
君子終日乾乾,夕惕若,厲,無咎。
The superior man is active and vigilant all day. In the evening he is still careful and apprehensive. Danger. No blame.
處於關鍵位置,必須終日勤勉警惕。雖危險但無過失。
At a critical juncture, one must remain diligent and cautious throughout the day and night. Though dangerous, this brings no blame.
Nine in the fourth place
九四
或躍在淵,無咎。
Wavering flight over the depths. No blame.
猶豫是否躍起。可進可退,審時度勢,無咎。
Hesitating whether to leap forward. One may advance or retreat. Assess the situation carefully. No blame.
Nine in the fifth place
九五
飛龍在天,利見大人。
Flying dragon in the heavens. It furthers one to see the great man.
龍飛於天,處於最佳位置。大展宏圖,利於會見賢者。
The dragon soars in the sky, at the perfect position. Great achievements are possible. It furthers one to meet with the wise.
Nine at the top
上九
亢龍有悔。
Arrogant dragon will have cause to repent.
飛得太高,盛極而衰。過度擴張會帶來悔恨。
Flying too high leads to decline. Overextension brings regret. Know when to stop.
