吾言甚易知,甚易行。天下莫能知,莫能行。
言有宗,事有君。夫唯無知,是以不我知。
知我者希,則我者貴。
是以聖人被褐懷玉。

Translation

My words are very easy to understand and very easy to practice.
Yet no one in the world can understand or practice them.

Words have an ancestor; affairs have a master.
It is only because they lack knowledge that they do not know me.

Those who know me are few; those who follow me are valuable.
Therefore the Sage wears coarse clothes but carries jade in his heart.

📜 Liuren Perspective

The Liuren path is "Easy to understand and easy to practice" (易知易行) because it is based on direct heart-methods and natural principles. However, it is "difficult to follow" because the ego-mind constantly seeks complexity, drama, and external recognition.

"Words have an ancestor; affairs have a master" (言有宗,事有君) refers to our Lineage Tradition. Every mantra (word) has its origin in the Immortal Master (the Ancestor), and every ritual (affair) is governed by the Dao (the Master). Without this connection, the words and actions are empty.

The master "wears coarse clothes but carries jade" (被褐懷玉). This is the hallmark of our tradition. We do not need flashy robes or public titles. The true "Jade" is the Internal Cultivation and the Pure Fa-body hidden within the practitioner. This hidden value is what makes the master truly "valuable."
