執大象,天下往。
往而不害,安平泰。
樂與餌,過客止。
道之出口,淡乎其無味。
視之不足見,聽之不足聞,用之不足既。

Translation

Hold to the Great Image (Daxiang), and the world will follow you.
They follow and suffer no harm, finding peace, tranquility, and happiness.

Music and good food attract the passing traveler.
But when the Dao is spoken, it is plain and flavorless.

Looked at, it is not enough to be seen.
Listened to, it is not enough to be heard.
But used, it is inexhaustible.

📜 Liuren Perspective

The "Great Image" (大象) is the mental and spiritual template of the Dao. In Liuren Fajiao, when a master "holds" this image in their heart, they become a magnetic center of "Peace and Tranquility" (安平泰). People are naturally drawn to this stability and find "no harm" in the presence of the master.

"Plain and flavorless" (淡乎其無味) describes the experience of the true Dao. While flashy magic or "music and food" (worldly pleasures) may attract attention, the authentic connection to the Immortal Master is simple and quiet. It does not need to entertain the senses to be effective.

The "Inexhaustible" (不足既) nature of the Dao is our source of power. Though the rituals may seem simple (plain), their utility is endless because they tap into the infinite well of the Great Image.
