我獨泊兮,其未兆;如嬰兒之未孩;

Between "yes" and "no," what is the difference?
Between "good" and "evil," what is the distance?
What others fear, one must fear. But how vast and endless is the confusion!
Others are joyous, as if enjoying a great feast or climbing a tower in spring.
I alone am drifting, without a sign; like a newborn before it learns to smile.
Weary, as if I have no home to return to.
Others have plenty, while I alone seem to have lost everything.
I have the mind of a fool! So confused!
Ordinary people are bright; I alone am dim.
Ordinary people are sharp; I alone am dull.
Boundless, like the ocean; blowing, like the wind that never stops.
Others all have a purpose, while I alone am stubborn and uncouth.
I alone am different from others, for I value being nourished by the Mother.
