Five-Step Analysis Process

Step 1: Examine Liuhe (六合) Palace

Liuhe is the core symbol of marriage; its palace state directly reflects marital conditions:

Significance:

  • Couples communicate little; after arguments, neither speaks
  • Commits marriage disaster; first marriage unlikely to last, second marriage also uncertain
  • Lacks happiness; easily leads to marriage despair
  • Vulnerable to external destructive forces; family falls apart

Resolution:

  1. Venerate deities and Buddhas, practice Buddhist/Taoist spirit, cultivate body and character
  2. Marriage itself is cultivation; over time naturally transforms danger to safety

• Falls Kun 2 Palace: Yi Wood enters tomb, female attached to male, ultimately ends indecisively
Key Reminder: Qimen Dunjia is not simple pattern application—requires comprehensive analysis of palace, vigor, monthly order, and other factors.
Steps 3-5: Vigor, Year-Life, Comprehensive Judgment
  • Step 3: Examine vigor—Five Element vigor of Yi-Geng palaces, monthly order influence, Twelve Growth Stages state
  • Step 4: Examine year-life—Both parties' year-life palaces, relationship with Liuhe/Yi-Geng, year-life vigor
  • Step 5: Comprehensive judgment—Can marriage succeed? Marriage quality? Third party present? Marriage obstacles? How to resolve?

Template 2: Wealth & Finance Analysis (财运求财断法)

Theoretical Foundation (理论基础)

Wealth and Self Five Element Relationships:
  1. Profit generates self: Can easily earn money; investment yields good profit
  2. Self generates profit: Self works hard chasing money; profit small or none
  3. Profit conquers self: Not only no profit, will also lose capital
  4. Self conquers profit: Laborious and hard; at most doesn't lose money, difficult to profit
  5. Profit same as self (comparison): Someone will share profit away; still cannot earn money

Six-Step Analysis Process

Step 1: Examine Partial Wealth vs. Day Stem relationship (按五种关系判断)

Step 2: Examine Partial Wealth vigor—palace vigor, year/month/day/hour support level. If palace weak, even with support not large; if palace vigorous + support = large wealth. Wealth loss: year/month don't support, stars/gates/spirits conquer

Step 3: Examine Life Gate and Value-Use Gate—Best: Life Gate generates Value-Use Gate. If conquer or compare, advise not doing this matter; investment will lose wealth

Step 4: Examine industry nature—Based on Partial Wealth palace Five Element attribute:

  • Water: Aquatic, water conservancy, shipping, fish, cold food, travel agency
  • Fire: Optics, lighting, oil, hairdressing, stationery, education
  • Wood: Timber, furniture, decoration, floriculture, plant foods
  • Metal: Finance, metal, automotive transport, mining machinery, martial arts
  • Earth: Land, real estate, agricultural products

Step 5: Examine Life Gate direction—Life Gate represents wealth-seeking direction. E.g., Life Gate falls Qian 6 Palace = should develop toward northwest

Step 6: Comprehensive judgment—Can profit? Profit size? Suitable industry? Wealth-seeking direction? Investment timing?

Five-Step Analysis Process

Step 1: Examine Open Gate State
  • Open Gate vigorous = good career
  • Open Gate conquered = poor career
  • Open Gate palace Five Element
  • Open Gate vs. Day Stem relationship
Case Example: Open Gate in Qian Palace = large organization, major enterprise (Qian = chief). 己+己 (Earth Door Meets Ghost) = very unfavorable matter in work. Qian Palace dynamic conquers Xun Palace (Day Stem) = leadership dissatisfied with them. 九地 = secretly, quietly.
Step 2: Examine Day Stem (Querent) State
Case Example: Day Stem Xin in Xun Palace: Xun = wind, unstable; Xun Palace enters tomb in this month; Xin also enters tomb in Xun; 太阴+杜门 = hide and evade, but also has info of dismissal/layoff. Conclusion: Situation dangerous.
Steps 3-5: Value-Sign, Palace Relationships, Comprehensive Judgment
  • Step 3: Examine Value-Sign (overall direction)
  • Step 4: Palace mutual relationships—Day Stem palace vs. Open Gate palace generation/conquest; Value-Sign palace vs. Day Stem palace relationship; Hour Stem palace development trend
  • Step 5: Comprehensive judgment—Can career succeed? Job stability? Promotion opportunity? Potential risks? Resolution plan?

Resolution & Strategy Example

A case provided 5 solutions:

  1. Star-shift palace-change: Move Day Stem from Xun to Gen (Three Wonders auspicious gate)
  2. Adjust home northwest (Qian Palace): Change 九地 to 九天, petty people and important people depart
  3. Find Li Palace person for negotiation: Suppress Open Gate 己+己 short sunken person
  4. Use money to resolve Value-Sign Kun Palace subordinate problem: Gui can combine with Wu
  5. Change own thoughts and actions; find red-clothed female noble for help

  • Fever/Cold: Day Stem meets Bing; Hour Stem meets Bing/Ding; Tianrui meets Bing/Ding = fever symptoms; 戊+壬 or 戊+癸 = runny nose
  • Cervical Lymph Node Tuberculosis: 乙+辛 = lymph node tuberculosis; 乙+辛 meets Tengshe, Tianrui; 戊+癸 or 己+癸 = festering pus; Xin more vigorous = tuberculosis larger
  • Pneumonia: 庚辛+丙丁 falls Li/Dui Palace; 庚+天柱 = cough; 值符+庚 = headache; 癸+庚 = white phlegm; 癸+戊 = yellow phlegm; 癸+丙 = pus phlegm
  • Stomach Illness: 戊己+丙丁 at Kun/Gen two palaces
  • Gallbladder Inflammation/Stones: 乙+辛 at Zhen/Xun Palace; inflammation: +丙丁; stones: +庚辛
  • Cancer: 白虎+庚+天芮—when three appear together, must be highly alert

Five-Step Analysis Process

Step 1: Locate illness source—examine Tianrui Star palace; determine which body part (according to Eight Trigram correspondences)

Step 2: Judge illness nature—examine Tianrui Star matching gates/stars/spirits/stems; determine what illness

Step 3: Determine severity—examine Tianrui Star vigor; examine spirit (patient) vigor; check for White Tiger, Death Gate, or other inauspicious factors

Step 4: Check if curable—Tianrui Star + Life Gate = curable; Tianrui Star + Death Gate = difficult to cure; Tianxin Star (doctor) vs. patient relationship

Step 5: Determine timing—when condition worsens, improves, recovers

  • Hour Stem palace same as lost person = easily returns
  • Hour Stem palace generates lost person palace = easily returns
  • Lost person generates Hour Stem palace = not easily returns (voluntarily left)
  • Lost person conquers Hour Stem palace = won't return, has resentment
Life/Death Judgment

Year-life palace at Death/Tomb/Extinction state; palace has inauspicious gates/stars/spirits/patterns; meets void; all info completely inauspicious = possibly dead outside. Value-Use Gate meets void = person definitely dead outside.

Finding Objects Key Judgments

🔑 Three Certain Retrieval Situations
  1. Fan Yin Bureau: Key = goes and returns; lost object must return. Meets Fan Yin regardless of pattern auspiciousness, lost object can be found
  2. Geng Pattern: Has Geng pattern = lost object can be found; Geng pattern = obstruction; meets Geng pattern regardless of auspiciousness, lost object can be found. Note: Yi-Geng not pattern; Geng pattern falls void = doesn't function
  3. Day Stem Same Palace as Lost Object: Day Stem same palace as View Gate = phone not lost, can find; Day Stem same palace as Ding Wonder = document not lost, can find
Object Direction: Hour Stem palace direction = lost object location. Hour Stem falls inner plate + Fu Yin bureau = lost at home or nearby. Hour Stem falls outer plate + Fan Yin bureau = lost outside.
Was Object Stolen? Xuanwu palace conquers lost object palace = object stolen.
